The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service, Division of Contracts and Grants Management will be soliciting from prospective offerors for a Medical Social Service Worker. Services to be provided to the IHS beneficiaries who receive health care at the Taos/Picuris Health Center, Taos, New Mexico. Prospective offerors must posses/meet the following qualifications; masters degree in social work, posses a New Mexico license in social work, extensive knowledge of eligibility criteria for the Children's Medical Services, income support division, Mediare A & B, Medigap and Medicaid, New Mexico Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Veterans Administration Medical Center/Primary Care Clinic Network, Agent Orange, service contacted benefits and the alcoholism/substance abuse program, extensive knowledge and expertise related to benefits available through the Social Security Administration, Office of Hearings and Appeals, Adjudication Office and Adminstrative Law Judge Branches and the Appeals Council. Must provide a written statement regarding any arrest or charge of a crime involving a adolescent/child. If so, a description of the disposition must be provided. Contractor will assist clients and families with Supplemental Security Income (SSI) application for benefits, and other services, provides medical social work counseling to client/family on various social issues. A personal service contract will be awarded for a base year with four, one-year options for renewal. Technical proposals will be evalauted based on the technical evaluation criteria. Both technical and price proposals are of equal value, in the case of techical ranking tie, cost factors will determine award of a contract.
