This is a firm-fixed price contract with SIC code of 1542. This is
unrestricted advertising, open to both small and large business
concerns. If a subcontracting plan is required, the following minimum
goals are applicable: Small Business Subcontracting -- 61.2%; Small
Disadvantaged Business Subcontracting -- 9.1%; Women Owned Small
Business Subcontracting -- 4.5%; and HUBZone Small Business
Subcontracting -- 1.0%. The magnitude of construction is between
$5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00 and the construction period is 540
days. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. The project
includes the design and construction of a new 3,350 SM (36,060 SF)
Nuclear Weapons Integration Facility (NWIF) on approximately 4 acres.
The new facility will be a fully-sprinklered office building (single-
or two-story) with many computer and security requirements, such as
classified data transmission and storage, security door hardware, sound
attenuation, and Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility(SCIF)
components. The design will include office support spaces, lobby space,
conference rooms, SCIF, secured storage, and a delivery dock. Support
utilities include water, electricity, gas, sanitary and storm sewer,
communications ductbank and cable, and fiber optics. Minor demolition
of a parking lot is required. A Comprehensive Interior Design is also
required. Technical proposals will be evaluated on Past Performance,
Facility Design, Schedule, and Management Plan. Questions of a

It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued on May 10, 1999. The
plans and specifications are available on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) only,
and will be provided free of charge. A printed, hard-copy format will

the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Contracting Division, 4101 Jefferson
Plaza, NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109-3435 or faxed to (505) 342-3496. For
