On or about 4/23/99, this office will issue a Request for Proposal for construction of the Main Office at Union MO. Proposals will be opened on 5/20/99 at 3:00 PM. THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC PROPOSAL OPENING. The value of the work is estimated to be between $1,750,000 and $2,500,000. Description of the work is the project consists of construction of a one-story, steel frame building of approximately 14,400 gsf which includes retail, workroom and support areas, a covered mail platform, carrier loading slab, and paved maneuvering areas. The project also includes rock excavation. The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete within 330 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be accessed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. There will be a NON-REFUNDABLE FEE FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
