E-MAIL: Janet K. Reese, jreese@wstf.nasa.gov. NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a premanufactured modular building including the installation of the building. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition procedures (SAP). NASA Johnson Space Center, White Sands Test Facility (WSTF) has a requirement to procure a 42' by 60' premanufactured modular office building. The facility will supply office space; radio console room; radio/telephone/data systems panel board room; restrooms; and a meeting/lunch/office space area. The building will provide heating, cooling, and ventilation for exterior temperatures from 10 degrees F to 115 degrees F with an interior temperature approximately 70 degrees. The building will also have 6-inch exterior walls with R-19 insulation; R-30 insulation factor in the ceiling; pier foundations; be wood construction; and follow requirements outlined in the solicitation. The building will be installed on White Sands Missile Range, NM, approximately 45 miles north of the Main Post Area. The successful offeror will construct, deliver, place the building and connect water, sewer, and electricity to provided services. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $25,000 and $100,000. The effort shall be completed with building in-place and utilities connected within 8 weeks after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will not be available over the Internet due to the drawings being available only in hard copy. The anticipated release date of the RFQ is on or about May 07, 1999 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about June 7, 1999.
