Project is located on the Clearwater Ranger District, Idaho County, Idaho; Location of Project: From Grangeville, Idaho on SH 13 take FDR 221 (paved) south for approximately 30 miles to FDR 444; follow FDR 444 (unpaved gravel) south for approximately 4 miles to FDR 444A (unpaved/unimproved); then follow FDR 444A east for approximately 3 miles to Sawyer Ridge Lookout site; Project begins at this location; End of project is at Trail 328 junction with FDR 1862 (Buck Meadows). Project consists of three (3) bid items. Bid Item 1 consists of approximately .91 miles of trail that will be reconstructed, cleared and grubbed, belted waterbars installed, drainage dips, SAGs and ditches(LOD) constructed and abandoned trail naturalized. Bid Item 2 consists of approximately 3.3 miles of trail that will be reconstructed, cleared and grubbed, belted waterbars installed, drainage dips, SAGs and ditches (LOD) constructed and reconstructed, switchbacks reconstructed, turnpikes constructed, shallow stream fords constructed, nail laminated structures constructed and abandoned trail naturalized. Bid Item 3 consists of approximately 3.1 miles of trail that will be reconstructed, belted waterbars installed, drainage dips, SAGs and ditches (LOD) constructed and reconstructed, turnpikes constructed, shallow stream fords constructed, nail laminated structures constructed and abandoned trail naturalized.
