Scope of work includes change of occupancy maintenance, change of occupancy cleaning, major maintenance (such as painting, varnishing, floor refinishing and replacement, roof repair, and siding replacement), service calls, recurring maintenance, appliance installation and service, duct cleaning, related asbestos and lead based paint abatement, grounds maintenance (vacant units, parks, playgrounds, and common areas), and playground equipment maintenance. The contractor will furnish all parts and materials, except appliances, on a reimbursable basis. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business under SIC Code 8744, Base Maintenance, with a $20 million size standard. The solicitation will include a basic year (1 Oct 99 -- 30 Sep 00) plus six option years, the final two of which will be award terms that the contractor must earn based on performance. Proposals will be evaluated based on past performance and price.Solicitation issue date will be on or about 11 Jun 99.
