PROJECT TITLE: San Lorenzo River, Contract 1 Flood Control and Environmental Restoration, Santa Cruz, CA. This proposed contract is for 8a contractors in the Fresno and San Francisco areas only; that are capable of performing environmental restoration in the Santa Cruz, CA area. JOB DESCRIPTION: Sources Sought. Project includes raising of levees from Riverside Ave Bridge to Highway One Bridge, approximately 1 mile, that range in height from 2 to 5 feet. The level of protection is the 70-year event, taking into consideration hydraulic uncertainty and future hydrologic conditions. Work also includes overbuilding the landside of the levee and planting trees, shrubs, and grasses, along with installation of an irrigation system. A 2 year maintenance period of the plantings is required.
