The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport is soliciting proposals on a Firm Fixed Price basis for All Up Round Volumetric Shapes (AURVS) and MK 34 Shipping Skids. The AURVS is a testing and training device for the 688 class submarine's vertical launch system missile tube. The AURVS simulate a Capsule Launching System (CLS)/All-Up Round (AUR) allowing the vertical launch system to be exercised through the launch phase without actually launching a missile. Both normal and abnormal conditions of the weapon system can be simulated. The AURVS has a 26.6" diameter, an overall length of 280.5" and an approximate weight of 6800 lbs. The MK 34 shipping skid is an aluminum structure with an overall length of 306" and an approximate weight of 2500 lbs. Basic quantity requirements are 1-28 AURVS and 1-28 MK 34 shipping skids. Two Options will be included; one option for an additional 1-12 AURVS and 1-12 MK 34 shipping skids and the other option for an additional 1-14 AURVS and 1-14 MK 34 shipping skids. THE AURVS and MK 34 shipping skids shall be manufactured and assembled in accordance with Government furnished Statement of Work, Performance Specification and Drawings. Inspection and Acceptance will be at source with final delivery FOB Destination. Acquisition is unrestricted; standard industrial code (SIC) is 3812. Award will be made on a best value basis.
