The Navy intends to solicit and negotiate an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contractto acquire hydrophone transducers to support the AN/BSY-1 HF Upgrade Large Sail Array and the NSSN High Frequency Sail Array. The delivery date for the assembled and tested hydrophone transducers is 31 October 1999. The award will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Inspection will occur at the vendor location with a DCMC representative. Delivery will be FOB destination. Final inspection and acceptance will occur at Crane 30 days from delivery. The solicitation will be posted on NSWC Crane's homepage at http://www.crane.navy.mil/supply/homepage.htm. Negotiations will be held on an other than full and open competition basis with Marconi Aerospace, Braintree, MA in accordance with FAR 6.302-1.
