None, None. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences
(NIEHS)is soliciting proposals from offerors having the capability to
establish, operate and maintain diagnostic laboratory to provide Rodent
Disease Diagnostic Laboratory support for monitoring the microbial and
health status of the breeders and weanlings of the NIEHS/National
Toxicology Program (NTP) rodent production colonies and the animals on
test in toxicology testing laboratories. To accomplish these
objectives, timely and accurate performance of a large battery of
diagnostic procedures to determine microbial and parasitic status, and
pathologic changes on each animal submitted: viral and mycoplasmal
serology profiles on each serum submitted will be necessary along with
expeditious reporting of all data to the Project Officer. The Offeror
shall have the capabilities to detect the following agents: Viruses,
mycoplasma, bacteria, protozoa, mycotic organisms, helminth parasites
and ectoparasites. Additional investigations such as diagnosis of
disease outbreaks in the production colonies and the testing
laboratories shall be similarly undertaken as needed and in accordance
with the general goal of eliminating all spontaneous diseases.
Specifically, the Offeror shall routinely monitor approximately 40 mice
and 20 rats per month for a total of 720 animals/year, for infectious
agents and spontaneous disease processes. The Offeror shall perform
viral and mycoplsmal serology profiles on approximately 600 rat and 800
mouse serum samples per year by accurate, reproducible and sensitive
methods available. The period of performance will be eight years. The
proposed contract listed here is 100% small business set-aside. Request
