This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items issued by the Contracting Office, Offutt AFB, NE and prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation Number F25600-99-T0462 is being issued as a request for proposal (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-10. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1711 _ Plumbing, Heating (except electric) and Air Conditioning, Not Elsewhere Classified (NEC), and the small business size standard are $7,000,000. The government intends to issue a purchase order for De-Rate (3) ea Boilers: Work includes all labor and equipment to: (1) Check firing rates, (2) Adjust existing main gas regulators to reduce firing rate to <10 million BTU/hr and seal with lead, (3) Set combustion at new firing rate, (4) Install new blower assemblies, and (5) Install new firing rate data plates on each boiler burner package. Buyers Note: Boilers are Manufactured by Industrial Combustion Division Of AQUA-CHEM, INC. OF Monroe, Wisconsin. NO SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED. FOB shall be Destination to Offutt AFB NE 68113.
