Hamel,Contracting Officer The scope of work shall consist of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, for Project STL 98-0004, Repair Electrical Distribution System, Building 36, Section A. Work is to include installation of a 1600 Ampere busway system to provide electrical power to Building 36, Section A, for lighting, computer equipment, and 120 volt electrical systems. The busway will be connected to a 1600 Ampere circuit breaker in Switchgear MDS-4. This circuit breaker will be retrofitted to provide monitoring and control capabilities from the facility Energy management contol system. Electrical circuits will be installed, separate from the busway system, to provide power to mechanical equipment such as air handlers and exhaust fans. Obsolete existing electrical circuits will be demolished. Several electrical rooms will be constructed with fire rated walls. The work shall be performed by an electrical contractor who has 5 years experience in major commercial building electrical construction, including busway systems, and shall be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NIMA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period is 240 days. The price range of this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. The work is for Section A of Building 36 located at 3200 South Second Street, St.Louis, Mo. This project is 100 percent set-aside for small business. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 1731, size standard $7.0 Million. Sealed Bid procedures will be used for this procurement.
