Items of work include, but are not limited to: clearing and grubbing of debris in stream channels; reshape stream bed gravels; removal of existing washed out culverts; reconstructing approaches to stream crossings; compacting crushed aggregate surface; seeding mulching disturbed areas; and constructing two low water crossings. The crossings include: minor structure excavation; reinforced structural concrete; fabrication & installation of structural steel cattle guard grates; and machine-placed riprap slope protection. Estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. THERE WILL BE A NONMANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: June 1, 1999 at 10:00 am at project site. Directions to site: From Placerville, travel East on State Highway 50 approx. 15 miles to Pollock Pines, Sly Park road turnoff. Travel south on Sly Park Road (E-16) approx. 5 miles to the junction of the Morman Emigrant Trail. Travel east on the Mormon Emigrant Trail (10N50 & 5), approx. 10 miles to the junction of the North-South Road. Travel south on the North-South Road (10N83 & 6) approx. 15 miles to the junction of Forest Road 9N34. Travel east on 9N34 approx. 2 miles to the junction of Forest Road 9N9a.
