labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, and incidentals
necessary to perform the following: Remove existing accordion
partitions and track system, and install a new fully operational
accordion partition and track system. Partition panels shall be full
accordion type, factory finished, supported from overhead track without
floor guides and complete with all hardware, track, and accessories,
necessary for operation. Contractor shall provide framework with a
mechanism that gives stability and maintains uniform spacing of
partition folds in all partition positions. Contractor shall provide
completely concealed framework with a vinyl-coated fabric covering.
Contractor shall provide partitions that are manually operated.
Contractor shall provide patterns and colors of fabric to be approved
by CO. For partitions more than 60 square feet in area, the contractor
shall provide fabric and lining with flame spread rating of 25 or
less, fuel contribution of 115 or less, smoke generation of 50 or less
when tested in accordance with ASTM E 84. Framework including pots,
pantographs, hinges, hinge plates, and pantographs for horizontal
pantographs spaced not over 4 feet apart. The pantographs shall operate
smoothly with positive folding action and shall have a control device
to prevent flattening of the folds when the panel is fully extended.
Ferrous metal shall be either cadmium plated or zinc coated, except
posts at the option of the partition manufacturer shall have phosphate
treatment and manufacturers shop finish paint. All work will be
accomplished in strict accordance with the specifications, drawings,
and terms and conditions of the contract. Magnitude of this project is
between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. SIC is 2542. The size standard is
500 employees. This solicitation is open to all business concerns. The
entire solicitation will be released solely on the Electronic Posting
System (EPS), www.eps.gov, (paper copies will not be available). Any
prospective bidders interested in bidding on thissolicitation MUST
register in order to be placed on the bidder list. Include your company
name, address, telephone number, and point of contact, fax number, and
e-mail address. This list is provided to facilitate subcontracting
opportunities only. Bidders registering their name on the source list
should not conclude that they would receive a paper copy of the
solicitation in the mail, as a paper copy will not be available. All
prospective bidders are responsible to visit the EPS frequently and
obtain any amendments or other information pertaining to this
solicitation. The solicitation, attachments, statement of work,
drawings, and bidders list, will only be available by downloading the
documents from the EPS. Tentative date that solicitation will be
released solely on the EPS will be 11 May 99. Tentative bid opening
date will be 1 June 99. (Specific issue and opening dates to be
identified on solicitation.) A complete copy of the solicitation
package with drawings will be available for viewing in the lobby of our
contracting building. When issued the solicitation package with the
specifications will be available for download as word documents. Any
changes to solicitation documents or statement of work will render them
invalid. Bids containing any changes will be rejected. Contractors must
be registered in the Centralized Contractor Registration in order to
receive a contract award from any DOD activity. Contractors may access
