Intent" to issue a purchase order to Computer Support Inc on a "SOLE
SOURCE" basis for the purchase and installation UPS Batteries, Liebert
P/N:UPS 12-300 and a Liebert Series 300 UPS Module consisting of P/Ns:
RCB S300, CAM S300, SWMIU08, SWCBLB9300, SWCBL1125050(4 each) AND
SW1NOVELL1(4 each). This requirement is determined to be available from
only one source because the Air Force currently has in place a Liebert
UPS System under warranty. Computer Support Inc is the local
authorized dealer for Liebert Systems. The proposed contract action is
for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit
and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302.
Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to
respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent
is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals
received no later than 10 May 99 will be considered by the Government.
A determination bythe Government not to compete with this proposed
contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the
discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be
considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a
competitive procurement. All potential offerors should contact the
buyer/PCO identified in this notice for additional information and/or
to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your
concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer, an Ombudsman has
been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors
during the proposal development phase of an acquisition. The Ombudsman
does not diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting
Officer, but communicates Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements,
and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When
requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentially as to the
source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the
evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested
