Service (NPS), Denver Service Center (DSC), intends to solicit and
negotiate with only one source, Day and Zimmerman Infrastructure, Inc.
under the authority at FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No
Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, and
6.302-7, Public Interest. See Commerce Business Daily Numbered Note 22.
The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC), a
non-profit corporation governed by a board of representative
stakeholders is responsible for management of the stakeholders' funding
contributions -- excluding federal appropriations. A non-profit
subsidiary of GPTMC, the Gateway Visitor Center Corporation (GVCC) will
develop the $24 million Gateway Visitor Center located on Block 2. --
Day and Zimmerman Infrastructure, Inc. has been contracted by the GVCC
to manage the design and construction of the Gateway Visitor Center.
Day and Zimmerman is also managing the design and construction of the
$4.5 million Great Room of the Gateway Visitor Center that is being
funded by the Philadelphia Parking Authority, a City of Philadelphia
Agency. Also, the National Constitution Center has contracted with Day
and Zimmerman to assist with management of the design of the proposed
$140 million Constitution Center which will completed in Phase 3. It
is in the best interest of the Government to have the A/E team which is
performing design and construction management services for the proposed
Gateway Visitors Center and the National Constitution Center perform
the same design and construction management services for the National
Park Service at the Liberty Bell Pavilion Complex and Site Work on
Blocks 1 and 2 of the Independence Mall. Posted 04/27/99 (D-SN324883).
