The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a firm fixed price order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-99-G-1064 for the modification of the High Power Transmit Set (HPTS) 85 horsepower (HP) motor. Phase I of the modification effort includes the non-recurring design and testing needed to create a valid speed-sensing mechanism for the trailing wire antenna rewind motor. Phase II will include the modification of twenty-four (24) 85HP motors. This order will be issued on a sole source basis to Rockwell, the only source with the prerequisite knowledge and experience in the design and development of the HPTS system. See Note 22.
