IAW FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), the Government intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, a contract with National Conference Services, Inc., to provide supplies and services in support of the NIMA sponsored International Symposium in Prague, Czech Republic. The symposium is scheduled for 3 days in early August 99. The Contractor has extensive knowledge of hotel sales, conference facilities, catering staffing, etc., in Prague, Czech Republic area. Support efforts include, but are not limited to, conference planning, logistics, promotion, advertising, vendor recruitment, negotiating conference facility/hotel rooms for attendees, establishing symposium web-page, furnishing interpreters, and registering attendees. Award to the other source would result in an unacceptable delay in fulfilling the agency's requirements. This notice is an announcement of the Government's intent and is not a request for proposals.
