V -- SCHOOL BUS TRANSPORTATION SOL MDA410-99-R-0007 POC James Church, 703-696-3843 x 1403 The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) on behalf of the Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS), Arlington, VA is seeking a contractor to provide all personnel and supervision necessary to perform school transportation services for approximately 937 students attending the DDESS schools in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico beginning in School Year (SY) 1999/2000 (base period) with one option year for SY 2000/2001. Buses are government owned, leased, and provided through Fort Buchanan GSA (General Services Administration) under an Interservice Support Agreement. GSA will also provide organizational maintenance and parts, periodic inspections, and fuel. The actual projected need for these services and specific route information will be provided in the solicitation/contract. The award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 12, Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in the solicitation.
