combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in
this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.
Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be
issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and
clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC)
97-11. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation
#921052 under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), Subpart 13,
authorized by the Test Program on an unrestrictive basis. The Standard
Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 4111 and the Business Size
standard is $5 million dollars. Award will be made on a firm-fixed
price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity basis with one (1) base
year and four (4) additional one-year options. All items described in
this announcement will be awarded on an aggregate basis (All or None).
The FBI's requirement is to provide a transit subsidy of up to $21.00
per month of farecards that shall include the bonus offered to the
general public for comparable quantities under similar terms and
conditions. The farecards are for each participating FBI employee
commuting within the geographical area of the San Francisco Field
Office, 450 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco, California, 94102. Each
participating individual will be issued a farecard, if they use an
eligible method of transportation. Destination-FOB, to San Francisco,
CA 94102 upon order. Quotes shall be submitted to FBI Headquarters to
the attention of the Contract Specialist, no later than 3:30 p.m., EST,
5/6/99, clearly marked RFQ# 921052. The following FAR clauses and
