Project consists of improving two stream crossings on Forest Road 9N91 on the Eldorado National Forest, El Dorado county. Items of work include, but are not limited to: clearing and grubbing of debris in stream channels; reshape stream bed gravels; removal of existing washed out culverts; reconstructing approaches to stream crossings; compacting crushed aggregate surface; seeding & mulching disturbed areas; and constructing two low water crossings. The crossings include: minor structure excavation; reinforced structural concrete; fabrication & installation of structural steel cattle guard grates; and machine-placed riprap slope protection. Estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. THERE WILL BE A NON-MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: June 1, 1999 at 10:00 am at project site. Directions to site: From Placerville, travel east on state highway 50 approx. 15 miles to Pollock Pines, Sly Park Road turnoff. Travel south on Sly Park Road (E-16) aprox. 5 miles to the junction of the Morman Emigrant Trail (10N50 & 5), approx. 10 miles to the junction of the North-South Road (10N83 & 6) approx. 15 miles to the junction of the Forest Road 9N34. Travel east on 9N34 approx. 2 miles to the junction of Forest Road 9N91. Travel south on 9N91, approx. 500 feet to the project site. If this species is found in the adjacent area to project, an amendment to the solicitation willb e issued to change start work date to September 1, 1999.
