Segall, Contracting Officer, (202) 927-8689 The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Forensic Ammunition Service for a follow-on contract to contract Tatf-98-20 for ammunition data bases and maintenance of these data bases for updates to the data base originally purchase under Tatf-98-20 and for the additional databases to be procured here. Data bases will be provided on CD-ROM format and will include a data bases containing graphic reprresentation of centerfire ammunition along with the manufacturer's name, address, etc.A database will also be provided containg graphic representations of rimfire ammunition, including identification from specific cartridges and markings, along with the manufacturer's name, address, telephone number, fax number and the names of predecessors and successors, date and location of manufacture,and the types of ammunition produced by each manufacturer with a coded listing of the types of ammunition produced by each firm. This list is not all inclusive, but contains the highlights of the information to be produced. Maintenance will be provided for one base year and up to four option years on all the data bases to be purchased under this solicitation as well as the data base previously purchased.
