Phila intends to acquire IAW FAR part 12, as a commercial items acquisition on a full and open competition basis for Radiology services in support of the Naval Hospital at Camp Lejeune, NC. The contract radiologist will provide reading and interpretation services at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, NC to supplement the Navy radiologist at NAVHOSP Camp Lejeune. The contractor will evaluate and interpret radiographic plain film studies at NAVHOSP Camp Lejeune at the rate of approximately 100 studies a day, 400 a week, for a total of approximately 1,600 per month. The contract radiologist mat perform the required services at any time during the operating hours of the Radiology Department which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (exclusive of F ederal Holidays). The contract radiologist's tour of duty will be of a duration sufficient to interpret 100 plain film studies per day, with a NTE of 1,600 studies per month. The contractor shall furnish a number of fully trained radiologists sufficient to ensure that one qualified individual provides diagnostic radiology services on a regular basis. The resultant contract will provide for a base period of 12 months with four one year option periods. It is anticipated that contract services will start approximately 1 August 99. The solicitation will consider past performance as an evaluation factor. It is anticipated that a firm fixed price commercial items type contract will be the result of this acquisition effort.
