The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, MD has a sole source requirement for the procurement of engineering and technical services for the development of engineering changes and product improvements for the AN/ARC-210 Radio Set and associated components. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy the agency requirements. Rockwell International, Collins Avionics and Communications Division, is the sole designer, developer and currently the only qualified manufacturer of the AN/ARC-210 and as such has the requisite knowledge to fulfill the requirement. Therefore, this acquisition shall be negotiated on a sole source basis with Rockwell International, Collins Avionics and Communications Division, 350 Collins Road N.E., Cedar Rapids, IA 52498. It is anticipated that a Time and Materials type contract with a base year and four (1) year options will be awarded.
