Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has a requirement for
Shuttle Bus Services (with Driver(s)). The shuttle services to be
provided will be between the HUD Headquarters Building, 451 Seventh
Street, SW, Washington, DC and the Portals Building, 1250 Maryland
Avenue, SW, Washington, DC. The shuttle bus driver must posses the
necessary experience, licensing, and training to perform the required
services. Criminial background checks are required for all drivers. The
solicitation will provide detailed specifications for the shuttle bus
service specifying passenger capacity, required signage, safety
requirements, reporting and schedules and routes for required Monday
through Friday weekday service. The vehicle must be handicap
accessible, air-conditioned, and Certificate of Insurnace is required.
Shuttle operation time will be from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with 10
minute intervals (a total of 33 roundtrips). It is anticipated that a
Firm Fixed Price Contract will be negotiated. The period of performance
of this effort is a base year with four twelve month option periods.
The solicitation shall be made available on or about 18 May 99. The SIC
code is 4111 (local and suburban transit within the Washington DC
Metropolitan area) and the Product Service Code is V212. Only written
and facsimile (202) 708-2933 requests for the solicitation on company
letterhead will be accepted. Telephone requests will not be honored.
