Work includes but is not limited to: Conversion of part of the existing cold water Aircraft washing/rinsing system in the Corrosion Control Bay to a hot water system, installation of exterior electrical power outlets for deicer truck heating, installation of exterior apron ramp lighting from the hanger roof, installation of two new ladders, one each in the Aircraft Maintenance Bay and the Corrosion Control Bay, for secondary means of egress from the high Bay catwalks, installation of one ton jib cranes in each of the three aircraft servicing bays at the high bay catwalks, installation of a paging system in the three aircraft servicing bays,installation Of a backup breathing air compressor and associated componeents, which includes disconnecting the existing system from the shop air system and connecting the new compressor to emergency power, removal and replacement of existing aircraft compressed air utility reels located in the catwalk of the Corrosion Control Bay and installation of a bird repelling system in the three aircraft servicing bays. Solicitation will be available on the EPS web site on or about 28 May 1999. Therefore no paper copies will be mailed out. A firm-fixed price contract with a period of 180 days after Notice to Proceed. The proposed Procurement listed herein is unrestricted with an award of a contract from the solicitation on a basis of Best Value to the Government using price and past/ present performance. Acceptable performance will be repair/ renovation projects to include all elements of this soliciation performed within the last three years. Magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000 for the base bid items. There will be six optional bid items with a magnitude of $500,000 to $1,000,000. Standard Industrical Code is 1541. Any concern responding to this solicitation is classified as a small business if the average annual receipts of the concern and its affiliates for the preceding three fiscal years do not exceed $17.0 Million.
