The work of this project consists of performing repairs to the breakwater at the East Entrance to the Cape Cod Canal, Massachusetts. Repairs will be accomplished by retrieving and resetting displaced stone and by furnishing and placing missing core and cover stone. A combination of land and marine construction methods may be required for transportation of stone and access of construction equipment to the breakwater. Work includes all temporary construction to mobilize and deliver equipment and material on site, perform the repairs and demobilize equipment. Access of construction equipment to the work site will only be permitted by marine plant. Repairs require substantial moving and rehandling of existing stones to obtain the required interlocking placement. The estimated cost of the work is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Work shall be completed within 120 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. This solicitation is issued as a 100% set aside for small business concerns.
