This is a combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 99Q055 is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). All references of "offers" are understood to be "quotations". The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11. The SIC code is 3482, and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. The U.S. Secret Service has a requirement for the purchase of Cartridges, 12 gauge, #00 copper clad buckshot, 9 pellets, 2-3/4". The required quantity is 280 cases of 250 rounds per case. The contractor shall deliver the complete quantity; FOB Destination, to the U.S. Secret Service, J.J. Rowley Training Center, 9200 Powder Mill Road, R-2, Laurel, MD 20708. Delivery to be completed no later than July 1, 1999.
