Please note, if evaluation of a source approval request submitted hereunder cannot be processed in time and/ or approval requirements preclude the ability to obtain subject items in time to meet government requirements, award of the subject requirement may continue based on Fleet support needs. This is a requirement for initial spares for the AN/AAS-44(V) LAMPS FLIR. The requirement consists of 4 line items: 32 ea. turrets p/n 3154216-1, 20 electronic units p/n 3154212-1, 16 hand controls p/n 3154213-1 and 5 signal detectors p/n 3168455-1. There will also be an option to procure an additional 36 turrets, 26 electronic units and 26 hand controls. Due to lack of drawings and technical specifications the requirement will be restricted to Raytheon TI Systems, the original equipment manufacturer. Award of the initial requirement is anticipated o/a 4 June 1999 with exercise of the option o/a 30 Sept. 99.
