Expert assistance in the field of community relations, is required in support of the Environmental Protection Agency's community relations program. Under the authority of CERCLA, EPA is authorized to respond to the release or threat of release of hazardous substances, pollutants, or contaminants in order to protect human health, welfare, and the environment. The objective of this contract is to obtain technical assistance, that is both creative and professional in the field of community relations to aid EPA in the development and execution of a region wide Superfund community relations program. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following: assisting EPA in providing two-way communication between members of the public, including potentially responsible parties and the lead government agency; providing the public with accurate and timely information about response plans and progress; ensure that the public's concerns about the planned actions are heard by the lead government agency; assist inconducting community interviews; be familiar with technical, legal, and political issues associated with a site.
