The Government intends to purchase, on an all of none sole source basis, the following items manufactured by Motorola Inc.: (1) P/N MVME2700-4461 Motorola Single Board Computer (6 each); (2) P/N MVME712M Motorola Transition Module, 2 Slot (2 each). The AEGIS Combat Training System (ACTS) Rehost Technology Refresh at the AEGIS Computer Center (ACC) mission is to provide lifecycle support for the ACTS Rehost computer programs applications hosted on AEGIS class Cruisers and Destroyers. Lifecycle support includes maintaining, updating, delivering and installing the AEGIS computer programs. The AEGIS ACTS Rehost computer programs are currently being developed utilizing the Motorola single board computers and transition modules. The nature of this derives from the requirement to maintain compatibility (equipment and applications) with the developers and the AEGIS fleet to ensure the AEGIS Computer Center (ACC) can support its lifecycle support engineering mission and deliver quality AEGIS computer programs to the fleet. This synopsis/solicitation will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The above must be Y2K compliant. Contractors must provide written documentation addressing the Y2K compliant issue. All responsible sources shall provide written documentation stating they are Motorola authorized dealers/distributors. All responding vendors must provide their CAGE Code, Dun & Bradstreet number, and Tax Identification number and must be registered in the Central Contractor's Registration Data Base.
