This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses identified in FAR Subpart 12, FAC 97-3, as required. Standard Industrial Classification is 3993 and 500 employees size standard. This acquisition is set aside for small business concerns. This is a firm-fixed price procurement using Commercial Procedures. This procurement is for the labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, and installation of 1,682 name signs which are to be mounted on the front of each housing unit located at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina. Each unit shall consist of the following:  One 4_x18_ aluminum frame with two counter sink holes for mounting  One 4_x 6_ removable acrylic rankplate  One 4_x12_ removable acrylic name plate  Two counter sink screws  Wall mounts _ as needed for mounting The frames will be mounted to brick and/or vinyl exterior walls, below the existing quarter_s number. The rank and name plates shall be made of multi layered 1/16_ acrylic with low glare matte black finish and engraved with 2_ high white core (UV-stable) letters. The name plates will contain last names only. The name and rank plates shall slide in and out of the metal frame. A list of names and ranks will be provided at the beginning of the performance period.
