The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking potential sources for an On-line Supercritical Fluid Extraction/Supercritical Fluid Chromatography system. Potential sources must be capable of furnishing the following: Pump module with 250mL capacity, maximum pressure of 500 atmospheres with a pulse-free chain driven syringe pump; Oven and cryofocusing module with separate temperature zones for oven and cryofocusing, maximum oven temperature of 200 C with maximum rate of 15C/min, cryofocusing module temperature range from -50C to 200C with the heating rate 150 C/min, automated Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC) injection, automated 5 port four position and 10 port two position valves, Flame Ionization Detector (FID) with electrometer; Control modules with microprocessor controlled operation which can store 24 methods with 8 stages per method, temperature programming, density programming, flow programming Supercritical Fluid Chromatography only method chaining Supercritical Fluid Chromatography only. Interested sources that can furnish an item meeting the above specification requirements are encouraged to submit substantiation to the Bureau of Reclamation. Responses should include brochures or other illustrative material in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the requirements stated above and should include the firm's Dun and Bradstreet number (DUNS) and Tax Identification Number (TIN), either by mail, fax, or transmittal to the e-mail address listed below no later than close of business on May 10, 1999. This is a Sources Sought Notice only, and not a Request for Quotation or an announcement of a solicitation. However, should a Request for Quotation become available, it will be issued electronically in approximately 30-45 days and can be viewed at the following website: http://ideasec.usgs.gov . The Government will not pay for any materials furnished in response to this synopsis. Submittals furnished will not be returned to the sender.
