Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS)
intends to make an award under the Simplified Acquisitions process to
Discoverware, 926 5th Ave., SW, 5th Floor, Calgary, Alberta T2PN0N7,
Canada, for the purchase of Discoverware software for Computer Training
"Lite" CBT for FSIS specific application training, and development for
existing COTS application training. The slaughter-line inspectors use
an interface, which is used on the Word, Excel, and Outlook CBT's that
is proprietary to Discoverware. Using the selected sections from
existing Discoverware products will improve comprehension and retention
of materials, as users can follow-up the basic training with already
available identically structured in-depth training on the same course
topics. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENTATION AVAILABLE. Discoverware
is the only known source for providing this software. All interested
concerns must identify their interest in writing and fully document
their capability to meet the agency's requirements by forwarding a
detailed response by 05/19/99. All responses must be in writing and may
be faxed to 301-504-4276. All proposals from responsible sources will
be considered by the Agency. If no affirmative response is received by
May 19 to determine that a comparable source is available, or is more
advantageous to the Government, negotiations will take place with
