Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials and supplies necessary and required to maintain the grounds of the United States Soldiers' and Airmen's National Cemetery, 21 Harewood Road, N.W., Washington, DC, 20011-4902, covering the period October 1, 1999, through September 30, 2000 (base period), with two 1-year options to extend the term of the contract through September 30, 2002. Work includes mowing and trimming; edging; trash and debris removal; floral pick-up; filling/topdressing sunken graves and other areas; sodding of gravesites and other areas; snow and ice removal from cemetery roadways, walkways and plazas; liquid herbicide application; granular herbicide application; granular fertilizer application; limestone application; core aeration; turf renovation; weeding/mulching; planting flower beds; burial of casketed remains at depths between 1.52m (five feet) and 2.13m (seven feet); burial of cremated remains at a depth of .91m (three feet); headstone operations including installation, resetting, raising, realigning and cleaning; and custodial services for the cemetery's public restrooms. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 0782 and a size standard of $5 million is applicable to this acquisition.
