NSWC DAHLGREN DIVISION 8TH ANNUAL SMALL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY FAIR NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER -- DAHLGREN DIVISION 8TH ANNUAL SMALL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY FAIR WEDNESDAY, MAY 12, 1999 The Naval Surface Warfare Center -- Dahlgren Division's Deputy for Small Business is sponsoring a one day, on-site Opportunity Fair on Wednesday, May 12, 1999. This event will run from 9:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The day is aimed at giving companies a chance to display their products/services, attend informative seminars on how to do business with NSWCDD and confer with representatives from DoD and civilian agencies. The event will kick off at 9:15 a.m. with opening remarks from Captain V.E. Mahaffey, Commander, NSWC-Dahlgren Division. The first seminar will be given from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. by NSWC-Dahlgren Division's Deputy for Small Business, Mr. Jim Howard. There will be a 30 minute break with a chance to view the exhibits. The second seminar will be held from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on "Omnibus Contracts and Small Business- The Silver Lining", speaker TBA. As in the past, this year NSWCDD will be awarding small purchases to companies right on the spot! Your company could walk home with a small purchase on May 12, 1999. Just a sample of the products/services NSWCDD is looking for include: Laptops/Notebooks, Office Automation, Industrial Hardware, Networking, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Multimedia, LAN/WAN, Office Supplies, Electrical, Services, Furniture, UNIX, Systems Integration, Automotive, Presentation Systems, Safety/Maintenance, Plumbing and Heating, and more. Some of the agencies invited to participate as government counseling tables will include: Warfare Analysis & Systems Department, Systems Research and Technology Department, Weapons Systems Department, Strategic & Space Systems Department, Combat systems Department, Public Works Department, Naval Space Command, AEGIS Training Center, AEGIS Ship Combat Systems & Cruise Missile Division, and the Quality Engineering Division.
