S -- - NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH THE ALAKSA DEPT. OF FISH & GAME (ADF&G). Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the Alaska Dept. of Fish & Game (ADF&G) for the Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC). The ADF&G conducts annual trawl surveys within the central and western Gulf of Alaska (GOA) to assess crab resources, but also collects abundance and size composition on finfish species. ADF&G collects finfish data as parts of its mission. The AFSC has a similar mission and requires data collected by ADF&G. No other source collects such data on finfish species in the central and western GOA.
