will host the 14th Night Operations Symposium & Exhibition to be held
at John Ascuaga's Nugget Hotel in Reno, NV from May 17-20, 1999. The
symposium will follow the theme of information transfer and situation
awareness. The concept embraces the availability of information
gathered from night vision and other electronic sensors and the sharing
of this information among the participants on the battlefield. The
symposium will provide opportunities for demonstration of products and
personnel interactions as well as five half-day sessions that will
explore national needs, available systems, and technology investments
and initiatives. The executive session will be devoted to the overview
and perspective of military, civilian, and government leaders who will
present the needs of their respective nations for information transfer
and situational awareness and the need for continued development of
products for national and international usage. Separate sessions will
address issues such as: Battlefield Knowledge Acquisition and
Management Sensors and Subsystems Sensor Information Processing and
