99 -- AMENDMENT TO OPTICAL JUKEBOX DUE 051799 POC jbaldwin@natick-notes02.army.mil The subject requirement, posted in the CBD on 30 March 1999, is hereby amended to eliminate the trade in process that was originally anticipated. The notice shall now read as follows: The U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center has a requirement for an Optical Jukebox. This requirement is one hundred percent set aside from small business. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this procurement is 5734 and the small business standard is $6.5M. The U.S. Army Soldier Systems Center anticipates a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for one (1) HP SureStore Model 1200ex (Part #C1107J) 238 Slot HP Magneto Optical Jukebox. The Optical Jukebox shall have the following salient characteristics: (6) 8X Drives (Total capacity 1.2TB/2.5TB Compressed), Sun Ultra 10S CommServ (2) 9GB Drives, 256Mb RAM, 333Mhz CPU, Modem, Solaris 2.6, Support for HP SureStore Model 1200ex (C1107J) Jukebox, ABARS Server Software for HP SureStore Model 1200ex (C1107J) Jukebox, PowerPress Compression -- Server, ABARS NT Client Licenses (quantity of five), ABARS Banyan Client Licenses (quantity of twenty-five), Lotus Notes NT Client Add-on Licenses (quantity of five), Jukebox License ABARS HP9000 HPP/UX License. The system must be able to back up and restore data from Unix, Banyan Vines and NT systems, and be able to restore mail system data down to the folder level for each user on the Vines Mail and NT Exchange systems. Delivery shall F.O.B. Destination. The contractor shall assume that the shipping destination will be Natick, MA.
