SEARCH FOR INTERESTED PARTIES AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: The Rock Island Arsenal (RIA) intends to competitively solicit for an industry partner to meet the following objectives at Rock Island Arsenal, an ISO 9000 certified installation, in Rock Island, Illinois: a. Preserve and enhance the nation's only knowledge based integrated manufacturing facility for towed artillery and the sole domestic producer of hydro-pneumatic recoil mechanisms. b. Retain the critical labor skills to support this unique and total manufacturing capability. c. Increase utilization of the currently excess capacity at RIA by bringing RIA additional defense work and non-defense work consistent with RIA's capabilities.
