Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has a need for
Recordkeeping/Administrative and Investment Management services for its
start-up defined contribution plan, equivalent in design and function
to an Internal Revenue Code (IRC) 401(k) plan. OCC anticipates
releasing a Request for Quote for these services in late May of 1999
and intends for contributions to the plan to begin no later than
December of 1999. OCC may choose one contractor to provide both
services or OCC may choose one contractor to perform
Recordkeeping/Administrative services and one contractor for Investment
Management services. The Recordkeeping/Administrative services
contractor must provide daily valuation. The Investment Management
services contractor must provide a minimum of 5 diversified investment
options and at least 3 of these must represent materially different
risk characteristics. The OCC has approximately 3,000 permanent
employees in 100 cities nationwide. OCC's payroll is centrally
administered by the National Finance Center, located in New Orleans,
LA. The OCC anticipates awarding a contract for a base period with four
(4) one year option periods, to be exercised at the Government's
discretion. This acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR
Part 12 -- Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5 -- Test
Program for Certain Commercial Items. This is an unrestricted
acquisition. All requests for solicitation shall be in writing to the
