Rehabilitation includes provision of new gearboxes, couplings and miscellaneous items for hoist and drives, and new wheels, bearings and shafting. All electrical equipment shall be replaced including motors, brakes, controls, wiring, conductor systems, and circuit breakers. Existing operator cabs shall be modified to open pulpit type incorporating glass for greater operator visibility and new operator cab with controls. The bridge and trolley rails shall be replaced with new rails. Contract performance will require asbestos abatement and lead-based-paint removal and disposal.
