39 -- ROUGHT TERRAIN CONTAINER CRANE (RTCC) POC Lucy Pilarski (810) 574-5724 or John Cash (810) 574-8131 The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command will issue a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Grove Worldwide for reprocurement of the same fielded configuration that was produced by Grove Worldwide in 1987. This is a wheel mounted crane which serves as a container handler which uses 20 foot and 40 foot spreader bars capable of handling a family of 8 foot wide containers loaded to a gross weight of 67,200 pounds. There are currently 255 RTCC's Army's inventory. The RTCC is a version of a Grove commercial crane, modified to meet unqiue military requirements. Our intention is to acquire 1 vehicle for performance verification testing with a production option. The RTCC will have the capability to left 67,200 pounds.
