NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for SBS Berg Model #4422-PCI-0100, Full length PCI, PCM Decommutator w/Simulator and IRIG, 10bps to 20MBbps; Option-Unique Recycling Code; SBS Berg Model #4400-TF-0000, Daughter-board, variable rate bit sync, 250bps to 20Mbps, Optimized <1Mbps performance; DX-Base-000-DataXpress software package; DX-Seat-000-Additional DataXpress license (Client). This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from SBS Berg Telemetry Systems, 2265 Camino Vida Robel, Carlsbad, CA 92009, on a sole source basis for the procurement of hardware and software. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have five (5)days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the five (5)days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
