CONTRACT INFORMATION: Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 the Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, intends to award a sole source modification to Task Order No. 0015 under the subject contract to the joint venture team of DOWL/BBFM to perform the services described below. DOWL/BBFM is performing the 35% design of the Davis Highway Overpass, Elmendorf AFB, and therefore, has the project knowledge and understanding of the facility's mission. Due to the project knowledge obtained during 35% design and the short time frame for design, the Alaska District has determined that DOWL/BBFM would provide the best value to the Government in continuing to provide the full design of this project. However, if an AE is interested and believes they are capable of performing this work, they are invited to submit their letter of interest along with a description of their qualifications. All responders are advised that this project may be canceled or revised at any time during the solicitation, evaluation, negotiation and final award. Modification of this award is anticipated for June 1999. 2. PROJECT INFORMATION: Provide complete design documents for the Davis Highway Overpass and realignment of the intersection at 2nd and Oilwell Road located on Elmendorf AFB. Letters of interest from responding firms MUST be received at the address indicated above not later than COB (4:00 pm Alaska time) on the 45th day from the date of this announcement. If the 45th day is a Saturday, Sunday, or Federal holiday, the deadline is the close of business of the next business day. Any letters received after this date cannot be considered. No additional information shall be provided, and no faxed letters shall be accepted. Solicitation packages are not provided.
