D -- INFORMATION RESOURCES MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES SOL N68936-98-D-0243 POC Stephen Beckner, Contract Specialist, (805) 989-8241 The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division (NAWCWD), Point Mugu, CA intends to extend the period of performance and increase the level of effort for contract N68936-98-D-0243, awarded on 1 Oct 98 to Metters Industries, 8200 Greensboro Drive, Suite 500, McLean, VA, 22102 for continued performance of information management resources support services. The extension of the period of performance will be from 15 May 99 to 31 July 99, pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Tasking includes management support services, analysis and assessment, systems design, development and life cycle support, data and software conversion, database administration, test and evaluation, configuration and data management, transition planning, support and interface development, software engineering and software training and training documentation. The primary information technology environment for the above tasking is the Navy Industrial Fund Management Accounting System (NIFMAS), currently in place at NAWCWD. Metters Industries has the required familiarity, expertise and unique knowledge of the requirement necessary to continue the development and maintenance of this specialized financial system. Continued support services for this specialized financial system are of a critical nature to the operations of NAWCWD and any delay or stoppage of support services would significantly impact the ability of NAWCWD to properly manage its resources and operations. This extension will allow services to continue under the existing contract and will allow time for the best value evaluation of proposals and subsequent award of a competitively awarded follow on contract which is currently in progress.
