Amendment 0003: A pre-proposal site visit is scheduled for 7 May 1999, 10:00 a.m., PST. All interested parties shall meet at the entrance to the MSCPAC Building 570, SUBBASE, Point Loma, San Diego, CA. Line Item 0001 description specified the original synopsis dated 18 March 1999 is hereby deleted in its entirety. Replace Line Item 0001 with the following information: Contractor shall provide one (1) 125 kW Out-door Back-up Generator and all labor and material necessary to complete the installation and ensure full operation of the generator. In addition, the contractor shall accomplish the following system modification; 1) Feeder 4-#500 kCM THWN in 3" rigid steel conduit, to replace existing. Re-use existing control wiring. 2) A 100 Amp, 3-pole, 200 VAC disconnect, NEMA 3R to replace existing 100 Amp fusible disconnect. 3) 400 Ampere, 3-pole, 250 VAC automatic transfer switch to replace existing 100 Amp automatic transfer switch. 4) 400 Amp, 3-phase, 4-wire 120/208V panel board to handle all loads of proposed back-up generator. Panel board shall contain 400 Amp main circuit breaker and two branch breakers (1) rated 225 Amps, 3-pole and (1) rated 100 Amps, 3-pole. 5) Remove existing 225A, 3P circuit breaker serving panel 'TPA' from existing Panel 'PDP' and replace with new 400 Amp, 3-pole circuit breaker to serve as normal power source to new ATS. Connect with (4) #500 kCM THWN and #2 ground in 3-inch RGS. 6) Reroute circuits for Panel 'EM' and Panel 'TP-A to new distribution panel. 7) Wire under floor receptacles in Communication Room 209 to circuits #4 and #6 in Panel 'TPA'. Reroute existing wiring. 8) Reroute existing wiring for under floor outlets rated 30A-08V in Communication Room to Panel 'TPA-A'. Provide l-30A, 2P circuit breaker in available space. 9) Remove existing under floor outlets connected to Panel 'EM' at Third Floor. 10) Provide two quad receptacles in Hub Room 308. Serve dedicated circuit. Connect to Panel 'EM" -- circuits #13 and #15. 11) Relabel panel boards as follows; (1) New distribution panel = 'EM', (2) Existing 'E ='EM-A', (3) Existing 'TPA' = 'EM-B', (4) Existing 'TPA-A' = 'EM-Bl; 12) Label all outlets affected by this modification. 13) Upon completion of the installation, the contractor shall test the installed emergency generator to ensure that the generator is fully operational and meets the requirements of the solicitation, technical attachments, state, federal, and industry codes/regulations. FAR 5.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Commercial Items is modified to include FAR 52.222-41, Service Contract Act of 1965, As Amended. Contractors shall contact Bea Appling (619) 553-7688 for Technical Attachment (1)-U. S. Department of Labor Wage Determination #94-2057, Revision No. 19, dated 23 Jul 1998, Technical Attachment (2)-Generator Specification Sheet, Technical Attachment (3)-Load Survey/Projected Load Survey, Technical Attachment (4)-Electrical Drawings.
