The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport intends to issue a RFP for engineering services to support Submarine Maintenance Engineering Planning and Procurement(SUBMEPP) at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, NH. This effort will provide engineering services to SUBMEPP's Logistic Support Programs associated with life cycle maintenance of naval ships, new construction, and other unique platforms together with their support facilities. This will be a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract with cost plus fixed fee provisions. The total five-year level of effort will be 423,000 man-hours. Key Labor Categories are Program Manager 940 hrs per year; Engineer 4,700 hrs per year; Managing Sr. Engineering Tech. 3,760 hrs per year; Sr. Engineering Tech. 16,920 hrs per year; Logistic Specialist 4,700 hrs per year. A technical proposal will be required in response to the RFP. The resulting contract will be awarded to the offeror submitting a technically acceptable proposal offering the Best Value to the Government. The Government intends to make a single award.
