NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH RF ENGINEERING. Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with RF Engineering (RF) for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Purpose of the contract is to develop a prototype 134.2-kHZ ISO-based Passive Integrated Transponder (PIT) tag detection electronic system for returning adult salmon and other non-traditional juvenile salmon applications. RF Engineering has completed initial feasibility study and has intimate knowledge of the analog board circuit detail and technical requirements. RF Engineering completed prototype and NMFS now requires design finalized and integrated into the total transceiver system.
