MODIFICATION OF CONTRACT N00039-98-C-0047 The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) intends to add contract line items on a sole-source, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) basis, to Contract N00039-98-C-0047 awarded to the Raytheon Company, 1001 Boston Post Rd., Marlborough, MA 01752 in March 1998. Contract N00039-98-C-0047 is for the procurement of Low Data Rate (LDR)/Medium Data Rate (MDR) EHF SATCOM terminals (also known as Follow-On Terminals (FOT)). This contract modification will provide for the following items: 1. Non-Developmental Item (NDI) retrofit kits to upgrade currently configured FOT terminals with a second EHF drawer to provide two-terminal capability in one Communications Group (CG) cabinet. The addition of this second EHF drawer will double the current capacity of each unit and will eliminate the need for two completely separate LDR/MDR EHF SATCOM terminals per platform. These retrofit kits will require extensive integration into currently configured systems to ensure that they meet terminal performance specifications. The Government intends to procure approximately thirty of these retrofit kits. 2. A submarine-variant to the FOT terminal. This submarine variant will be achieved with minor control software and hardware changes to the current CG cabinet. Approximately twenty of the submarine-variant FOT terminals will be procured over the course of five years to be installed aboard two submarine classes. 3. Technical and logistics data associated with the above efforts. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this procurement is 3663. The amount of this contract modification is not expected to exceed $16.7 million dollars.
